Submitting A Comic

We thought we’d have a post explaining what comics we are willing to look at. We’re pretty open here at ComicFencing. Go ahead and send your review request to comicfencing@gmail.com today! We’ll consider virtually any comic for review, with the following thoughts in mind:

1. We want this site to be G rated, but don’t think the comics will be nothing but Disney. Comics about adult issues and themes will be considered as well as childrens, teen and all sorts of other comics- we’re mainly trying to keep a lid on the XXX stuff. The vast majority of requests seem to fall within this guideline.

2. While we are not particularly worried about being overly politically correct, we don’t want to be rude either. We’ll avoid reviewing comics filled with hate speech about race, color, nationality, etc. You probably assumed that, but let’s make sure it is clear.

3. We are not prejudiced against sprite comics, photo comics, wordless comics or other kinds not yet created. We’d like you to invent a new kind, actually. We love comics.

4. We’d prefer that the comic archive not be too short. It’s not a hard and fast rule, but comics should probably have at least six months of thrice weekly updates (or the equivalent.) Some that update once a week or so we’ll consider after eight or nine months. This is so we know that there is a commitment by the creator(s) toward their comic and we won’t direct readers to comics that may fizzle out. It’s not easy to make comics so the ones that endure are special.

Again, you can submit a comic to be reviewed to comicfencing@gmail.com. We’ll look at it and if there’s a problem and we feel we shouldn’t review it, we’ll let you know why. In most cases there won’t be a problem and we’ll get your comic into the line to get reviewed.

Thanks for your interest in Comic Fencing! We’ll also answer general questions in the comments below this post.
